The Marriage of the Lamb

The next major event in heaven after the reviewing and rewarding Christians according to their works is referred to as the marriage of the Lamb. This is when Christians are joined together with Christ. The main passage that describes the marriage is Revelation 19:7-9.

Revelation 19:7-9
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” And it was given to her clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. And he said to me, "Write, blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are true words of God."

The Bible states in Ephesians 1:4 that before God created the world, He selected a bride for his Son: "just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him."
